John Veness

John Veness has worked within the Pump Industry for nearly 40 years. Prior to establishing Pro-ven Solutions as a consultancy in 2006, he worked for HMD Sealless Pumps Ltd as Technical Director, Director of Aftermarket and Managing Director.

He has experience of acquisitions and development of International Sales and offshore manufacturing. John is currently working with clients across various industry sectors to improve pump system energy performance to assist in meeting carbon footprint reduction goals. He works with the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) as an energy consultant to develop and deliver the BPMA’s energy strategy. John is a past President of the BPMA and past chair of the BPMA Technical Committee and BSI and ISO Pump Standards committees.

John is the manufacturing sector specialist for the East Sussex Enterprise Hub which supports new and small businesses to grow.
