Bill Plumridge

Bill is the Centre Manager of the Eastbourne Arndale Shopping Centre.

Raised in Reigate, Surrey Bill started his retailing career working as a Saturday assistant in Woolworths in neighbouring Redhill. After leaving school he joined the Army & Navy store in London’s Victoria Street as a management trainee progressing to a number of roles and stores throughout the south east.

Bill left retailing in 1990 to enter property management with Legal & General (the former Managing Agents of the Arndale Centre). Having overseen the refurbishment of the Centre in 1997 he is committed to the commencement of Eastbourne’s Town Centre regeneration project.

As well as his involvement in the Chamber of Commerce Bill is Chair of the Eastbourne Business Crime Group, Vice Chair of the Town Centre Management Initiative, Trustee of St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Chair of the Hospice Shop’s Board.
